Customize your Dashboard view in WordPress by:
- Rearranging dashboard widgets.
- Removing or adding widgets using Screen Options.
1️⃣ Rearranging Dashboard Widgets
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard (usually
yourwebsite.com/wp-admin). - Go to the Dashboard page.
- Hover your mouse over the title bar of any widget (for example, Activity, Quick Draft, or WordPress Events and News).
- When the cursor changes to a move icon, click and drag the widget to your preferred location.
- Release the mouse to drop it into place.
You can also move widgets between columns if your screen layout allows multiple columns.
2️⃣ Removing or Adding Widgets Using Screen Options
- At the top-right corner of the Dashboard page, click Screen Options.
- A dropdown panel will appear showing a list of available dashboard widgets.
- To remove (hide) a widget:
- Uncheck the box next to the widget name.
- To add (show) a widget:
- Check the box next to the widget name.
- The changes apply immediately — no need to save.
