Methods to Create a New Editor User in WordPress

  1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard as an Administrator.
  2. Add a New User
    • Go to Users → Add New.
    • Enter:
      • Username (e.g., editorname)
      • Email
      • First Name / Last Name (optional)
      • Password (or generate a strong password)
  3. Assign Role
    • In the Role dropdown, select Editor.
    • Click Add New User.
  4. Editor Capabilities
    • The new Editor can now:
      • Create new posts (e.g., News articles)
      • Edit existing posts (e.g., Times of India news articles)
      • Manage categories and tags
  5. Verify Access
    • Log out and log in as the new Editor.
    • Go to Posts → Add New to create a news article.
    • Go to Posts → All Posts to edit existing news articles.
